Increasing traffic volumes on incomming road to Inwil created more and more headaches for authorities as well as parents. On the way from residences to the kindergarten one has to cross this road.

A simple pedestrian unit has solved this problem. To control the unit an IMO Simatic UG 3 was used and adapted. In this case this was the best solution in terms of cost benefit ratio.

Permanent and fixed traffic light unit in Inwil/LU. Push button for pedestrians and radar device for vehicles optimize the red and/or green periods.
