Traffic junction, Langnau am Albis/ZH (2007)

Due to the reconstraction of a bridge one of the traffic lanes had to be closed and a major road through Sihltal was involved.

Together with the responsible engineer office we developed a traffic concept. A IMO S radio controlled unit with a total of 8 traffic lights provided an ideal solution for the optimal traffic flow.

The IMO S unit run with different time programs to respect the various traffic volumes. The integrated bus priority ensured the smooth flow of the public transportation.


And if any disturbences occured - no problem: the integrated GSM alert system announces immediately all failure and disturbances. In case of a weak battery their will be enough time to replacing before the traffic light unit will be out of function.

A junction approx. 100m before the main traffic light unit. This unit was connected to the main traffic light unit and ensured a smooth traffic flow.
