Height control of vehicles, Suhr/AG (2007)
A new gangway to the
hardware stores was constructed and therefore the max.
height of vehicles passing the road had to be limited to 4.5 meters.
The monitoring of the height secured the construction area. If a too high vehicle
drove by, the traffic light unit switched to red immediately and alarmed automatically the police.
The
control installation monitored the height of the vehicles passing the road. If a too high vehicle
was registered, this information was sent immediately to the traffic light unit via radio control.
Example of a road barrier. Strobe lights around the height prohibition sign indicate
additionally the danger. The police was
already alarmed by mobile phone.
